Ted's DiaryTed's Diary
written by Amen Ra (Ted) The Alpaca of Distinction

21st March 2007. Hi, did you know I have been writing my diary for over a year now!  It has been a very eventful twelve months.

I hope you have all enjoyed my ramblings and will continue to follow my adventures once I move down to Dartmoor with all my friends and family.  We don’t have a moving date yet – you know what it’s like when you move? Lots of loose ends to tie up and arrangements to be made.  So during all this non-activity, the BOSS has been away on sick leave.

She went to Basingstoke to stay will her mum. Ah well! Not MY idea of a holiday I can tell you.  Well now she’s back and full of energy and ideas, and insists we rush around with her!

Ivory had his nails trimmed and then was moved into a paddock Charm likes Alex - a lot!opposite Alexander. Now the girls are inbetween these two machos – well, you can guess Mr. "Big Guy" Alex is not happy!  He keeps marching up and down the fence line glaring at his adversary with meaningful stares whilst making up to little Charm.  Now I am a wether, as you all know!  But even I can tell that Little Madam is far too young for those sort of shinanigins. (Isn’t  that a lovely word?) SOMEBODY should tell her.

Ah, here comes "Somebody", actually its Other Half, but I hear BOSS call him "Somebody" quite often – "Sombody" should do this or "Somebody" needs to do that!  Other Half always ends up doing those jobs so it must be HIS nick-name.  I wonder if I have a nick-name? Boss calls Alex "Lovely Boy", and His mum Betsy, "Camel Breath" – now that’s not nice is it? True, but not nice. Me? Well, sometimes I hear "Teddy Bear" called across the field, but I just ignore it, or "Little Monster" – that I definitely ignore! If anyone out there can think of a NICE nick-name for me, then email me at Ted@littlegemalpacas.co.uk  and we shall discuss this further.

A sunny day at the Little Gem FieldIts still sunny, no snow here! We have lost our mud coverings and look like the fabulous, cuddly alpacas we have always been, isn’t Spring wonderful (there's all this new grass!), walks round the field, down the lane – more supplement and treats, and of course - Shows! Boy, am I looking forward to going to Shows – I shall get to meet even more of my adoring public and finally get the recognition I deserve – I might even get my picture in the newspaper – Well I am a Web-Celeb, and who can ignore an Alpaca of Distinction?
