Ted's Diary

January 8th 2008  Hi folks!  Happy new year to all my friends out there and a big SORRY for not keeping up with my diary – but you know how it is, us alpacas have so much to do, especially at this time of year – we need to eat, eat, eat and eat to keep out strength up! The hay is highly recommended down here at M&M Alpacas – I don’t get breakfast in bed mind you, like I did back at Spencer’s Field, but then even I am up before Mike and Mark crawl out of their shelter!  Boy! has it ever been wet down here! Nothing new there then! But it has brought a good result for me and the Four Musketeers - Augustus, King, Chris and I have been joined by Thumper (how’s that for a name!) we have been moved up to higher land, next to the girls – lots of girls! And I mean right next to them – although they don’t seem to understand alpaca sign language for "come over to the fence and cuddle up with me to keep warm and dry"!  Chris and Augustus seem to think they don’t trust me! How do you like that! Little upstarts! Would I have a secret agenda? 

Great day today - the BOSS and Other Half came down to see me, well, and Alex – do you know he gota cuddle and his fleece was closely inspected.  Did I? No! just several handfuls of camelibra and bundle of hay.  For some reason the BOSS seems to think all I want out of life is FOOD! Could have a point there.  Where was I? – ah, yes, well BOSS is quite lonely without us, and says she's coming down here to the wilds of Devon even more, soon, just to be near me – AND ALEX! That guy gets in every time, what has he got that I haven’t – ah, yes, well, no need to go there!  But I do have personality and a huge fan club! Can he says as much?  Did he get emails asking if he was alright, and why no words of wisdom for a few months – of course not! Wisdom, personality and Alex don’t usually figure in the same sentence! Okay, he is BIGGER than me, he is PRETTIER than me in a pale, white sort of way, and I suppose he earns more MONEY than I do.  But who gets ALL the FAN MAIL?  Who has his own spotty bandana? And who goes for walks OUTSIDE the fields? And who is the only Alpaca Web Celeb?

See, I told you I was back – did you miss me? Of course you did!
