Ted's Diary

14 May 2007  We have been down here a week now and not a dull moment.

There are two little dogs that dash about everywhere, called Chip and Pin. I had to have a stern word with them when they wanted to play in MY paddock! I chased them out and told them to go and play with Marcus, the little boy from Dreamfield Alpacas who came to help his dad with the fencing.

There’s lots and lots of grass here, but as you know I do like to eat lots more, so when Barnaby tried to steal my bit I had to show him who was boss –you know me, I like to entertain the crowds. Well, we had not been arguing more than a few minutes when Mike and Mark appeared and decided we should be separated.

They don’t have a "Naughty Boy Corner" like we had back at Little Gems, so guess what? I have been moved in to another paddock all by myself – I have heaps and heaps of grass and I am next to ALL the girls.

Alex is enjoying his new home and thinks he is still the Top Guy and keeps a close eye on everything that goes on. I don’t think he trusts me!

There is a flurry of activity here as little Charm is trained and her fleece is de-hayed ready for the show at the week end. Ihear Barnaby is going as well – that explains why he’s acting so bossy these days – well, I can tell him I shall be going later on and I am still THE Alpaca of Distinction.
